Meet the Ingredients - Panzanella

Panzanella or panmolle is a popular Tuscan chopped salad of bread and tomatoes. It includes chunks of soaked stale bread and tomatoes, sometimes also onions and basil, dressed with olive oil and vinegar. It is also popular in other parts of central Italy and parts of the Ness Bank in Inverness where it is one of the starters on our excellent value Lunch and Pre-Theatre set menus.

Our panzanella starter at Contrast comes with crumbled blue stilton and a sweet lime citronette for a real taste sensation.

Suitable for vegetarians and also vegans, minus the cheese of course.
